Titulo: Honor y Gloria (95 minutos) (1952). Tambien este filme se conoce como " La Vida de Roberto Ortiz".Title: Honor and Glory (95 minutes) (1952).Synopsis: With the collaboration of: Ramon Peon, Yadira Jimenez, Jose San Anton, Alberto Gonzalez Rubio, Roberto Ortiz, Joaquin Viego, Analia Trinidad y Angelita Castany. Among all the more settling and sympathetic people of baseball in Cuba, Roberto Ortiz out stands over all others, whose inclination towards this sport grew when he was only eleven years old and lived with his parents at a sugar mill called Senado, in Camaguey. His vocation won over his father's opposition to play baseball. On a certain day playing for the team, Club Senado, someone offered him the opportunity to go and play for the team called Hershey, that constituted the highest illusion for any player to imagine. There he met Joaquin Viego, who from the beginning decided to help him. And that was the way he began in his career where he became one of the most admired baseball players of the National League because of his agreeable temperament, his great sense of responsibility and his great "class" as a player devoted to the sport and follows an exemplary life, like very few. With the intention of delivering a message that would benefit the players that pretend to reach stardom and demonstrate that to arrive at the top you must make many sacrifices, suffer lack of everything important, and above all, lead a methodical life and exemplary in every sense, the writer introduced the imaginary person of Raul Hernandez, a strong youngster and a true promise for the sport, but a gambler, woman lover, night life wanderer and of disorderly life. Both aptitudes oppose each other and the promotion of Roberto Ortiz, predestined to triumph while the life of Raul becomes more difficult each day because Raul doesn't change his way of going forward. Argument by Eladio Secades, adapted by Ramon Peon; music by Maño Lopez, edited by Mario Gonzalez. This film is also known as " The Life of Roberto Ortiz".
